Join a fun, beginner-friendly Kids Capture the Flag (CTF) experience with support from AWSN and Cisco. Designed for ages 8- 12 (Years 4-6), this experience helps kids build safe and smart digital habits through games, teamwork and activities.
What Kids Will Do
- Phishing adventure: spot tricky messages and uncover scams
- Password Puzzle: crack the code to create strong passwords
- Malware Monster Check: identify and avoid harmful apps and links
- Protect your Secret Mission: learn how to play online safely and beat those bots

Primary school girls aged 8-12 (Years 4-6)
No prerequisites, just passion to learn!
Event Details
Date: Wednesday, 1 July 2026
Time: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (AEST)
Location: CISCO Brisbane Office – students to meet in concierge area.

Closes: Monday, 22 June 2026, at 11:59 pm (AEST) or when fully allocated.
*Only 20 participants can join, so register early! A waitlist will be available once tickets are fully allocated. If you can no longer participate, please let us know as soon as possible.
*Important: One parent or guardian per child must register (don't worry, there is an area for parents to do work, or you can join in the activities!)
Registration Fee
A non-refundable fee of $25 is required upon registration. If you are experiencing financial difficulties or are unable to pay this fee, please reach out to contacts@awsn.org.au; we would still love you to participate.

What to bring?
- Students must bring their own laptop (and charger) or iPad with the ability to connect to Wi-Fi. (required for the online Capture the Flag challenge)
- Students are encouraged to bring a mouse and headphones.
- Lunch and light refreshments will be provided through the day, however, if your child has any specific dietary requirements, they are encouraged to bring their own food.
*Important Notes*
- This event is for primary school girls who live within Queensland.
- All volunteers and trainers involved at the event hold a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.
- Any personal details collected during the registration process will be used exclusively by AWSN for communication and emergency purposes.
- Lunch and light refreshments will be provided through the day.
- For students' own safety, they will not be permitted to leave the premises of the event venue at any time during the program.
- Each student must be accompanied by a parent/guardian for the duration of the event, and transportation to and from the venue is the responsibility of the parents.
- There is a general no-refund policy for this event. If you are unable to attend, please inform us at contacts@awsn.org.au at least 48 hours before the event starts.
