Following the success of our 2024 event, AWSN, Secure Code Warrior, and Commonwealth Bank are back for the 2026 Secure Coding Workshop for Women.
Whether you’re looking to break into AppSec or ready to showcase your elite secure coding skills, join us for a hands-on experience in a fun and supportive environment. About the Workshop:
This workshop offers a hands-on preview of a modern application security program. By using the gamified Secure Code Warrior platform, we aim to build secure coding skills in a fun, interactive way. Participants can choose from a selection of common coding languages, including pseudocode, making this the perfect environment for everyone from absolute beginners to advanced coders.

What to Expect:
Dive into a 60-minute, hands-on session where you’ll tackle security challenges in your preferred programming language. This fun and engaging workshop features:
- Vulnerability Navigation: Identify and fix critical flaws, including the OWASP Top 10 and more.
- Skill-Building: Master the art of recognising and mitigating vulnerabilities during code reviews.
- Real-World Simulations: Experience how exploits work (and how to stop them) through playable bonus levels.

- Pre-Event Practice: Once registered, you'll receive access to practice exercises on the Secure Code Warrior platform. We highly recommend trying these out to get comfortable with the interface before the day.
- The Main Event: During the official one-hour workshop, you'll tackle brand-new challenges released simultaneously for all participants.
- On-Site Support: Don't worry about the technicalities—we’ll be there in person to help with everything from logging in and navigating the platform to general interface support.
- Get Ready: While practice isn't compulsory, it’s the best way to hit the ground running!
