Marina Azar Toailoa is a child safety and security advocate with a background in the New South Wales Police Force, Corrective Services, and risk management. She has studied Security Studies and Counter Terrorism and holds postgraduate qualifications in Leadership, Counter Terorrism, Crisis Management and Recovery.
Drawing on years of frontline experience analysing risk, harm, and protective strategies, Marina founded the Mummy Safety Security Project - an evidence-based initiative focused on proactive child safety education. Through workshops, community engagement, and practical resources, the project empowers children, parents, educators, and communities with life-saving protective behaviours and emergency preparedness skills.
Alongside her professional work, Marina is deeply committed to volunteering and collaborating with charities and community organisations to support and empower young people, advocating for prevention-focused education and emotional regulation that helps keep children safe before harm occurs.
